As an aside, I participated in this detail that
provided the French with a Squadron of Corsairs before they got their asses
kicked at Dien Bien Phu. We pulled in to Touraine which later became DaNang,
Never dreamed that I would be back a few years later. I was on USS Saipan,
CVL 48, VMA 324. JG
